In addition, we felt like this room doesn’t offer a lot of scavenging and wouldn’t recommend playing this room with more than five people. The design of the dungeon was carried out very well, but we were thrown off at times by some of the puzzles that were a little far-fetched. We liked that we didn’t need to crack any locks at all and that lots of the puzzles involved different mechanisms. Some puzzles were a little far-fetched, others required real team work and some felt out of place. There weren’t as many puzzles in this room as we would have expected. ![]() Some of the puzzles also felt out of place and made it feel more like being in an escape room than in a dungeon. Although the overall design of the dungeon added to our immersive feeling, we wished the story would have been more compelling and more detailed. There was no explanation why we were thrown into the dungeon and who put us there. The backstory of this room was very thin: We had to escape the dungeon in order to survive. As a side note, we want to mention that there was some crawling involved in this room which might be a problem for some people. Other than that the room was well-designed and of great quality. Youre trapped in a dark dungeon today, and tomorrow, youll burn at the stake Interact with objects and solve riddles to escape a fiery fate. It took our game master some time to get us a candle from another room and we were surprised that they couldn’t provide us with fresh batteries. At one point we dropped an electric candle though that served as a light source and we lost the battery. We could spot very little to no “modern” components in this room and enjoyed the scenery. The Medieval Dungeon looked exactly like we imagined – brick walls, barred doors, weapons and torture instruments hanging on the walls and dimmed lights. The staff was friendly, but – for our taste – gave away a little too much about the particular layout of the escape room we were going to play. In the hallway before the Medieval Dungeon we noticed a lot of stuff (like chests, candles, glue etc.) which raised the feeling of being in someone’s craft room rather than in front of an escape room. Our belongings could be stored in lockers which we really appreciated. Once we entered the building we found ourselves immediately in the waiting area which was comfortable, but a little sparsely furnished.
